Which versions of TASBooks does Infoplex work with?
Infoplex software works with TASBooks v1 (released 2010) through v6 (released 2015). It generally will also work with the TAS FirstBooks products though these are impossible for use to locate today for testing against. However as they share the database tables of the TASBooks range it should be fine.
Our software is unlikely to work with anything older (for example, TAS BOOKS 1, TAS BOOKS 2, TAS BOOKS 3) than that.
Are there any other system requirements?
Windows – will work with (gulp) Windows 7 through to Windows 11.
Office – must be the 32-bit version and not the (default) 64-bit edition.
Microsoft .NET Framework v4.5.2 (TASBooks requires v3.5)
Why does Infoplex software (and TASBooks) not work with Office 64-bit?
A 64-bit program cannot use 32-bit components in Windows – they will simply not load.
Both TASBooks and MultiTAS are 32-bit products. For a program to be 64-bit, all its components must be 64-bit. For some of the components that Infoplex software ships with, there are no 64-bit versions available. Meanwhile TASBooks ships with the 32-bit Pervasive engine.
What is Double Entry Accounting (and why should I care)?
Each financial transaction has two sides to it and you need both of them to record the transaction.
