Common feedback we receive is that MultiTAS performance can be a little lacking for larger company datasets. In an effort to resolve that, a few changes have been made starting in v6.5.3 (expected release April 2025).
Firstly, access to the ‘Print/Post’ screens can be slow for larger company datasets. This is because at the moment, the ‘Date Filter’ is taken into account. At the beginning of the month, when you only have a few orders in then performance is decent. Near the end of the month when volumes have increased, then performance drops. So we have disabled as many filters as possible in the Document Processing system so these are only taken into account when you want/need them.
There is a new setting in program 0.1.1 – shown in the screenshot below – that applies to Sales Order Print/Post only just now hence it’s location in ‘Sales Order & Credit Note Printing’. It is called ‘Number of Orders to retrieve, most recent first’.
This dropdown has 4 values – ‘all’, ’50’, ’75’, ‘100’.
Left at ‘all’, MultiTAS will behave as it has done before today.
Set to ’50’, when program 6.2.5 is opened MultiTAS will only retrieve the 50 most recent orders that can be printed/posted.
’75’ and ‘100’ are self explanatory.
In the ‘6.2.5’ screen itself, there is a notice at the top when this setting is in use.
IF you need to locate an order older that this, you can either
(a) click the notice and MultiTAS will retrieve all orders that can be printed/posted
(b) use the filters – see item 2 in this missive
Note: if feedback is positive this will be rolled out to the other document types (Pick List, Delivery Notes etc) in the next release.

Further feedback we receive from customers with larger datasets is that when you start changing the ‘Filters’ at the top then MultiTAS takes a while to grind through processing them.
So, there is a new button in the top right corner of all the Sales Order Document Processing screens (programs 6.2.1 to 6.2.6) – ‘List Orders’.
Code changes have been made so that when you start making changes to the Filters at the top, the list-of-orders grid in the middle will not be updated UNTIL you have finished your changes to the Filters and clicked ‘List Orders’. Furthermore, the outline colour of the List Orders button has been used to try to show when processing is taking place.
If the button outline colour is red, MultiTAS is busy locating the orders you asked for – keep an eye on the outline colour changing back to green at which point the middle grid should show the orders you wanted.
If the button outline colour is green then you can proceed as normal.
